A pioneering technique makes it possible to detect hidden food intolerances.

The Digestive System Institute at Centro Médico Teknon has launched CellTolerance in Spain that allows physicians to observe, at a microscopic level, how the small intestinal lining responds in real time to the presence of food. This technique is especially valuable because digestive disorders such as abdominal pain, chronic diarrhea, or recurrent bloating affect between 15% and 20% of the population, and conventional tests often fail to identify the underlying cause.
